The Adoption Process:
If you would like to adopt a Chinese Crested Dog please read the section titled "Is a Chinese Crested Dog right for me" then fill in the form below which will be forwarded to your nearest Area Coordinator.
After a brief chat a home check is then arranged. Once the volunteer has completed the home check, the form is sent back to the Main Coordinator for review.
Upon a successful home check you will be offered a dog/s that we feel will fit in with your home and lifestyle. You can adopt one of those dogs or choose to stay on the waiting list.
We suggest a donation of £275 is made to the rescue. All monies go to the ongoing care of dogs coming into the rescue, on average each dog coming through the rescue costs £450 but can cost up to £1,000 or more.
If you are unable to go and collect your chosen dog yourself we will try and move the dog around the country through our network of volunteers.
Meet & Greets
It is important to note that a meet and greet is not a necessary requirement of our adoption process. We rely on the deep knowledge of our foster carers and coordinators to create successful matches. By focusing on compatibility profiles rather than routine "viewings," we reduce stress for our dogs and ensure a smoother transition into their forever homes. Our dogs are placed in foster homes across the country, so if you specifically wish to meet a potential match, you will be required to do all of the traveling. Any meeting is strictly at the convenience of the foster home and in a neutral location.
Note:The Rescue reserves the right to turn down any applicant at any part of the adoption process without further discussion.
You should be contacted by a coordinator within 7 days of receipt of your application. Please email [email protected] if you have not had a response in that time.
**Please note: You will be called via a mobile number or a with-held number**
