Winnie & Rodney

We're going to be honest with you, these two cuties are going to need A LOT of care, love and medical assistance - and we need your help!

As you may have seen on our Facebook group yesterday, we have two new faces in our care, Winnie and Rodney.

Super cute, but unfortunately, they both require quite a lot of medical attention. Their recent vet visit assessment has flagged several concerns that we need to investigate immediately.

Both dogs weigh a pitiful 1.5 kgs

The Immediate Priority: Rodney. Rodney is currently struggling to eat. He requires an urgent dental procedure to determine if the pain is caused by his teeth or a potential growth under his tongue.

Because both dogs share a physical abnormality—a noticeably roached back and hunched bandy hind legs—the vet suspects a congenital skeletal defect, hip issues, spinal issues or all three!

Since Rodney’s symptoms are more severe, he will undergo X-rays during his dental surgery. This vet hopes that this will provide a diagnosis for both dogs and help us determine the best path forward for their quality of life.

Winnie’s Care: In addition to monitoring her mobility issues alongside Rodney, Winnie is also booked for her spay surgery to ensure she is healthy and ready for her future.

We really do need your help to give these two the best possible chance. The costs for these essential procedures is significant, and we are reaching out to our community to help these paw souls.

Total £1,450 - and this could just be the start.

We'll, of course, keep you updated with their progress and diagnosis, but in the meantime, anything that you can spare to help towards their medical bills would be very much appreciated.
